The Jaguars look to rebound from last years 4-5 season. This past season was Pete Richardson's first losing season as a head coach. This year's team will need to improve play on the offensive and defensive lines. Depth on both lines is a concern. Injuries and attriction took their toll on the Jags as a host of freshman and inexperienced players recieved valueable playing time. That trial by fire can be a helpful thing as these players have seen live action. This year's recruiting class will be counted on to add depth and hopefully not have to see an extensive amount of action.
On offense the Jags will air it out on the arm of J.C. Lewis in his second year as a starter. Lewis and his recievers clicked toward the end of the season. But ultimately if the Jags want to rise to the top of the West Divison and knock off the Grambling Tigers a running game needs to be found and it has to be successful. Last year's running game was non exsistent and it must improve.
